Kime Manifesto
We started as a remote team of two in 2008. Over the years, we built a successful online invoicing SaaS, now used by tens of thousands of paying customers and grew into a fully remote team of about 30 people. Gradually, we began to hit the limits of Google Sheets for running the people side of the business.
Naturally, we turned to the market for a better solution. But we did not like what the market had to offer. It simply wasn't made for remote teams—it was built to manage bigger teams. It looked bloated, and you had to go through a sales call even just to try it out. As creators of SaaS applications, we knew we could create something better. So we did. And we call it Kime HR.
Remote-first
We believe in the power of remote collaboration, having practiced and perfected it for over 15 years (and counting!). We deeply understand the challenges and opportunities that come with remote work. Kime is built from the ground up with a remote-first mindset, ensuring that every feature supports distributed teams effectively.
Trust
We believe that a well-functioning remote team requires deep trust. We built Kime to cultivate transparency and trust within teams. We've built Kime to streamline the necessities of coordinating people who trust each other while removing unnecessary barriers and fostering transparency.
Self-management
We believe people can manage themselves way better than they’re often given credit for. Team leaders should be there to guide, not to control. Kime simplifies administrative tasks, empowering individuals to focus on doing their best work without being bogged down by micromanagement.
Team spirit
We believe that even fully remote teams can feel deeply connected. Whether it’s by sharing weekly work updates or stories from over the weekend, Kime helps keep the human element alive, ensuring that team spirit thrives no matter where your people are.
